I’m building a world in World Machine (in 2304 2km x 2km tiles) and am at the point where I want to prototype it in an engine … with a much smaller sample set. I’ve been playing around with UE4 and it’s been ok, but I’m keeping my options open.
And so I discovered this Unity plugin. I hadn’t considered using voxel terrain, but it could do exactly what I want.
BUT …. can I import tiled terrain from World Machine? They are pretty standard heightmaps, but I can add flow, deposition, wear, weightmaps (etc) to enhance the textures.
Any help would be appreciated.
